This is not really avery interesting photograph, to me, and I think you've acknowledged that yourself in your own comments. The lighting is quite decent, very tactile; that's about the only positive I can come up with.

The cropping is way too tight, especially on the right. Give it a little more room to breathe. It's also very grainy; was this a desired effect or were you shooting in low-fidelity mode? The scallops on the top edge are very odd. Are they actually there, or is this an artefact created by the rendering of the diagonal line at a low resolution?

Clever title.

I like the simplicity of the shot in that the background and surface the tape is on don't distract from the tape itself.

I know what you're trying to portray here, but it's (to be brutally honest) dull and not very interesting. A different background, not so boring crop, interesting lighting, funny label on the tape and it might work better...

Too noisy for my taste. Lightning would be better if achieved a more uniform one.

Crisp and sharp. A few jaggies along the upper edge. I think the blue foreground gives it a little depth against the black background.
