I wanted to do something fun instead of dark and scary.
Maybe people won't see this mechanical, maybe they will. The inside of a jack-in-the-box is quite mechanical and actually pretty cool.

This thing has been in our basement since I can remember because my dad has had it since he was very little.

I used a motion blur filter on the picture then used the history brush to bring back some parts of the original picture because I am allowed in advanced editting. :)

Other steps on the computer included:
-Hue's increased in almost all colors
-Burning/Dogding
-Cloned out some cracks and paint chips on the clown to make it look new
-Unsharp mask
-Neat Image
-Small-Crop-That-Makes-No-Difference-But-I-Do-It-Anyway-Because-I-Can
-Resized and bordered with canvas size

The title kinda sucks.

Oh well. :-)

This fits the challenge well and is taken at an interesting angle. The slightly blurred focus adds motion to the shot, which is appropriate. I think the border is hideous, but goes perfectly with the subject. All and all it is a well taken photo that kinda creeps me out :) Bumping up.

Very well composed and shot. Having the motion blur makes this extra special. Good luck (bumping up)

I really, really don't like clowns, they scare me. But I have to say I love this shot, everything in it works for me even down to the border

Looks like you've captured him just popping out. Nice border and color. Your angle is interesting. Great job.

I want to like this a lot more than I do. I probably would if the crank were an integrated, effective part of the composition. After all, the crank is what would most shout "mechanical", no? I like the border on this one, rare for me.
