The leading lines give this it`s power for me..the tonal treatment adds the finishing touch.
Great image.

a lot to like here -- repetition, leading lines, b&w, single main figure, interesting lighting, one of my ribbon picks -bol

A strong sense of film noir here

3rds and be d@mnd on this one. It's great. Has a fine art feel to it, is a little on the dark side, but would make a great addition to any wall. While it does not seem to need a border, I don't think it detracts at all. Looks like the Mt Washington's Hallways. Bumping to an 8

Gorgeous! Love the slight sepia tone as well. It really enhances the mood of the image.

Not a classic candid moment for me (I think of candid as capturing unguarded human expression), but a very striking shot. 8.

great leading lines. I think I would have cropped the foreground down a bit.

This is magnificent. Tonal range, exposure, focus, DOF is perfect. Loved the way you composed and framed the shot. Would be very surprised if this does not ribbon. 10

Beautiful shot. It's interesting because the choice of black and white combined with the decor on the walls makes it seem like this shot could have been taken decades ago. I like the way the hall is made to feel so big and the janitor so small. It's kind of like "This is his domain...to maintain." Simutaneously he owns it and yet, in a way, is owned by it. Great job.

The symettry is powerful here. I couldn't imagine a better, more thought provoking, presence than a janitor, but that could just be me. I have a thing for taking photos of janitors and garbage people....9

This is my favorite of the challenge! Beautiful coloring and amazing DOF for such a dark hallway. This reminds me of the closing scene of an old movie. I like the symmetry. You have been bold enough to center your subject and this is a good example of the correct way to break the rule of thirds. Great work!
