Okay, I was going to just cast my vote and be done....but I can't resist a piece of my mind even if you hate my thoughts.... First off, I really like the composure, exposure, and placement of your subject. Those three aspects make you deserve a very high rating....I mean, you dont have a distracting background, or anything like that. Now for the negativity....ready? Frankly, I dont "get" this photo. I understand that you have to think outside the box for unique photos that stand out in this competition....I mean, I'm glad you didn't take another generic park bench shot, someone standing or hiking in the woods, or even having some rediculously small person in the far corner of the framse. But why the apple? Whats the meaning of this photo? Wheres the emotion? The shadows and lighting add drama, but where's the meaning? I feel that this photo lacks "content". Based from this photograph, and this one only, I can say you're talented, have the ability to produce great things, but need more reason for your photos. Hope this helps...regardless, take it with a grain of salt. :) Have fun!

The apple and the two candles in front are in nice focus. I would've liked to see the back candle in better focus. I like the way the apple is lit on only the top quarter. Can't really see Waldo unless he/she is a tiny reflection in the left candle.
