Challenge: Where's Waldo? II (Basic Editing II)
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Location: Hafnarhusid, Reykjavik museum of art
Date: Dec 30, 2004
Aperture: f/1.4
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/80
Galleries: Interior, Candid
Date Uploaded: Dec 30, 2004

This was taken during my visit to a graphic design exhibition at the Reykjavik museum of art, in very low light with a 50mm f/1.4. In hindsight I should've bumped up the ISO and used a smaller aperture, but you live and learn I suppose.

And regarding the comment that it was too dark for a late afternoon: I agree, and perhaps 'a late night coffee' would've been more appropriate, but this is actually taken at around 4 PM if I recall correctly. This time of year in Iceland the sun rises between noon and 1PM, and goes back down at around 4 PM. It's pretty surreal, and I suspect magnus can vouch for this ;)

I guess for those of us closer to the equator, we expect 4PM to be bright and sunny! I didn't see it as too dark for Late afternoon, My comment on too dark was just stated as hard to see! It is a really good photo though :)

Definitely deserved a higher score, I still think this is one of the best in the challenge. Something about it that makes me think it would make a great poster.

Ooo, nice, I like it alot. The only thing that's slightly distracting the the light rectangle light on the ceiling (I assume you were shooting through glass and it's the reflection of the lights behind you.)

Very nice. I really like the way the lights lead your eyes back into the photo.
