This is a panning shot of a puffin catching it's lunch in the wild. It's a rather greedy puffin, check out all those fish! I took the photo on a boat trip out to the Farne Islands. The little blighters were extremely fast and I was very lucky to get this shot.

Editing:
Lightened water at the top.
Exaggurated the blue tint of the water slightly.
Dodged the feathers.
Increased saturation on the beak.
Cropped, sharpened, border, the usual.

You were fortunate to get the opportunity to photograph the puffin Ben and you certainly took full advantage of it.
Great shot

This is one of those wow moments. Right time, right place, and a little bit of prep work. The color of the water really makes the colors of the beak stand out. Nicely cropped. I wish I had been there. :) 8

Excellent clarity & detail, and one of the better submisions in my opinion. ((9))

Oh yeah, great shot Konador (I think). I'd be tempted to crop tighter, putting the puffin nearer the edge of the shot. but it's still a great capture of an elusive and shy species.

Just the right amount of blur to deliver the sense of movement. The tones in the sea are beautiful.

Great capture, without the fish in his mouth it would have much less impact. Fortunately there is also some motion blur in the wings and the waterdrops just spatter from his feet. The sea provides a good background and it is positive that there isn't much glare and reflection on it.
These are such wonderful birds and this is a very good portrait of one of them.

Puffins are possibly the coolest birds ever. Terrific stopped motion and I love the tones of the water. The contrast between the fish and the brightly coloured beak is particularly pleasing. 10.
