 My daughter, waiting for Christmas presents to be opened.

Shot using natural light only (lamp and Xmas tree), with my 17-40 f/4 L @ 40mm. Processed in EVU to adjust WB to 2800K, and slight exposure increase (+0.5).

In PS7: Cloned out pencil eraser (she was drawing), flare in hair and a few stray hairs from face. Created a (faded) sepia layer but only applied it to the tree and BG. Cropped to put her in the upper corner and remove a little extra tree. Resized, applied slight USM and Gaussian blur.

This is absolutely gorgeous. Love the slightly soft focus effect and the dof is spot on. Looks like it's posed but I'll give you the benefit of a doubt on it... Kudos

Simply beautiful. Excellent photograph. I'm not sure I would see it as a candid moment but it is still outstanding none the less.

This is one of those very fine images that just doesn't "feel" candid to me. I'm sure it was, but it doesn't feel that way to me, and in this challenge I am voting in favor of immediacy over calculation.

Very nice, I almost hate to say it but it has to much of a portrait feeling for me.
It will affect my vote but I will not hammer the vote for this reason.
