Just a tad too dark to my liking. A little more light could have worked wonders here. |

Great composition and subject matter. Lighting and detail are good, rich in color without being over-saturated. A little curved/crooked horizon, but took nothing away because of it. ((8)) |

Interesting composition, but the colors lack strength and contrast. The horizon looks a bit tilted to the left, once you notice it it becomes distractive.

Very nice, the title says it all. Is this way early morning? Good comp, very nice colours. The half sunk boat in FG is very funny and adds a humourous dimension to this, which is usually not that. Good work and good luck. /8 |

Very good viewpoint. Interesting subject and good composition. Somehow I would like to see a a bit more underexposed image. |

There are strong elements of a classic stock image here - the boats on still water is an image I think we have all seen on occasions and to that extent part of our mental furniture - and that places particularly high standards for such a shot tot meet: after all, you're competeing with images in people's memories, rather than referencible images. This, I think, misses the absolutel simplicity - that branch, the perfect organisation of composition that half hidden boat, their organisation across frame, and lacks drama in the background - which you have nevertheless included. I wonder if perhaps a more powerful image might have been found within this scene, rather than in the entirety of it? The boat with the superstructure and it's neighbour look promising ... but it certainly has potential. Have you tried simply cropping out the boats to the right? It would, i think, be much stronger compositionally. Just some thoughts. |

Returning for comment - Nice colors and tones. I really like the bottom part of the photo the best. I'm wondering if this was taken at a lower angle if it would make it more dramatic - especially with the deep blue water and red portions on the boats. Bumping up! |
