A big thankyou to the 22 who took time to comment on my photo. It was one of my first attempts with my new camera and just hand held. I have a tendency to shake a little at my age and was pleased with the results. Thanks again
Betty

Wonderful composition and exposure without blowing out the highlights. Shame about being able to see the collar, otherwise it would look to be a wild animal. ((7))

Beautiful animal - though there are a little too many obstructions in the foreground for this to work as you no doubt envisaged. 6.

Beautiful. If he/she didn't have a collar on I would have thought you captured this one in the wild!

This is too centered but still very good.

If you have the ability to go back and reshoot this, take off the collar and place this beautiful dog so that there isn't a branch in front of its face. Those eyes are breath taking! 8

Without his collar I'd think he was a white wolf... an elegant and beautiful animal. Good portrait.

Digital Image Cafe's monthly theme for Jan is "edge" -- you might want to enter this one -- it's a beauty!

He would have looked wild and matched your title more if the colar was removed. IMO :)

I like the pic - but think it would have been better if you had removed the collar

Without the collar, some people, probably including me...would've been fooled into thinking it was a in situ shot of a rare white wolf.

Nice shot. Very crisp, good composition. Beautiful dog...

Nice crisp focus...should have taken the dog collar off befor the image, give a more "wildlife" feel. good shot.

At first I thought this was a wild wolf, but then I did see the collar. Still a lovely portrait of the animal. The small twiggy tree in front of her chest does detract slightly. ...8...

This is great apart from the sticks in front of his face. Maybe they could have been cloned out but would be tricky.7

Everything is great on it, i know it's difficult to capture these animals but the branches on the front of the wolf is just taken the magic a little away, i'm not saying its bad, the photo is wonderful. I would be affraid to be near this animal. Nice all around.

Ohh, a white wolf. Very nice except for the brush that is in front of the wolf, covering part of his face. I liked the centered composition.

Beautiful picture! The white dog on the white snow gives a great wintery look. My personal tastes would have preferred if the brush in front of the dog weren't there, but that's probably just my tastes. it's a really neat picture!
