Hello from the Critique Club!
My first impression is that this seems like a very cool picture. White is a very sterile colour, and it speaks of cold, and sterility to me. Something which doesn't add up to eggs.
I think jmsetzler was right with his comment in that a bit of directional light to give some kind of shadows, and or depth to the photo would have been nice.
I actually like the grainy look. It gives the picture the depth it has at the moment. Have you thought about using neat image? it's a very nice little programme that will remove graininess from your pictures.
I don't really understand why you scored so low, but a lot of people on DPC have a thing about perfect focus and lighting. If that's not a factor in your picture, you get docked points. It's a sad fact that creativity is not often rewarded. I think part of the challenge of submitting to this site, and competing is trying to find the right formula of what is acceptable in the eyes of the voters, and with that extra splash of you. It's so hard to decide what that formula is, but with a bit of observation it's seeable.
Good luck in the future challenges :)

this is a nice 'abstract'. I like the white on white theme, but i think it could be stronger with some directional lighting or something to make the shadows stand out a little more.. - setzler |

Too white.. not enough contrast to make this photo really good. Would have liked to see all of the four eggs. |

Very subtle difference between the white colors. Works pretty well here I think. But the pic is a little grainy for some reason. Not sure why. |

White on white is a good idea. Consider adjusting the light source. |

Very subtle--perhaps too subtle. have you tried fiddling more with darker shadows? |
