This was one of my favorite shots -- am surprised it did not do a hell of a lot better. I gave it a 10... it's a great example of photojournalism, and an image one can easily imagine seeing in LIFE or TIME... Great shot. |

Very interesting composition, especially with the one boy being central to the point of focus, and seems to be the only one looking in this direction. ((7)) |

That's a fascinating effect... everybody is motion blurred except the boy in the middle... very powerful, adds to a very lonely feeling to the image. |

The near eye contact and focus on the relatively still central figure, surrounded by people in motion, draws the eye in from all directions, almost like zooming-in during exposure. |

Absolutely fantastic. The one face which is clear and looking towards the camera makes this an extremely striking image. |

I love how I'm just drawn straight to his face. Neat shot. 8. |

Amazing how this photo 'works'. Somehow it is very active, like it is alive and all the motion seems to be directed to the one person who is perfectly in focus. I love it how you captured his expression in this sea of people. He is the one standing out of the crowd and you caught it. The shallow DOF and wide view works so well. Great shot. |

this has to be one of the few lens-baby images that has given me a pause to think that it was put to good use (and if it's not a lens-baby image, i'm even MORE impressed). however you did it, this is an amazing capture, and i hope it does well for you. |

Really dramatic image. The way you have managed to catch that one boy in focus and looking at something completely different to the rest of the crowd is terrific, and renders the image tremendously impactful. |

Wow...Intended or not, this photo has a lot of movement to it and I love the effect. It's almost dizzying! |

The boy in the centre is a very nicely isolated face and provided a nice balance to the shot, but I would have preferred for more of the photo to have been in focus as well. Good effort! |

It sortof feels like it's in motion. It was making me a little seasick at first, but as I look at it more I kindof like it. |

Very good as a photojournalist entry and a great clear focus of the boy in the middle of it. I like it. |

The more Iook at this, the more Ilike it. The single face just to the right of center, lookign at the camera, makes the picture. without it, it's basically a blah show. But it's there, and everything int he picture revolves around this indvidually. Beautifully-done. I suspect youw eren't sure about submitting this one, and I'm glad you did. |
