CRITIQUE CLUB CRITIQUE

COMPOSITION
The composition of this is awesome. The shape of the hand really draws the eyes down to the egg. Also, the bracelet, to me, helps to anchor the picture, or give the eyes somewhere to start. Nice addition. Like others have mentioned, if you could have flipped this so that the egg looked "balanced" on you finger.
TECHNIQUE
The focus here works well, and I think the "muted" gray look really helps the egg stand out. Color might have been okay, if the background was a soft gray or brown, otherwise, i think the bw makes it effective. A little light from the right may have helped it some (for some viewers) but I like the soft lighting predominately on one side.
OVERALL EFFECT
This was a great idea, and a good approach to the challenge. I am really surprised it didn't score higher, as it is a high quality picture. Sorry I can't offer more suggestions as to how to improve it.

| excellent shot.. the exposure here is near perfect and the smooth background works very well.. the egg looks like it is being 'squeezed' from this perspective... great shot :) - 10 - setzler |

| The focus on the egg doesn't seem very good. That's too bad, it's a nice shot, but I have to subtract a little for that. |

| You've given such a simple shot so much charachter. This is one of my favourites, the chain around the wrist just improves the quality of this shot. This will score high! |

| It would have really worked if you had put a little super glue on your finger, and held it upwards. Next time, maybe. |
