 I did a separate layer for the rose + buds and the bokeh part, did a few photo filters on the background, then curves and usm

taken with a 4x close up filter on my g5 to reduce the dof

I'm not sure if this is the case, but there seems to be tons of editing here. Almost seems like the flowers are exiting a worm hole "à la Star Trek". It does form a bokeh effect, but I'm not sure I like it. Will have to come back to this one later in the week.

different and very nice. The contrast of the colors in the rose, and background make this photo stand out. The bokeh is soft and appealing.

Too much blur around the edges....it looks like some obvious post work. Nice idea and composition...but I dont think all of that was necessary.
