The sky is drammatic. The hill is ordinary. And the photo does not bear up under scrutiny; it becomes two photos. Perhaps it would be better if most of the land were cropped a bit below the ridge. I would darken the foreground which is in shadow and brighten/saturate the hill in a kind of mirrored effect to what you did the sky. Then we would see the drama of the sunlit hill more as you and your friend did. Just an idea. |

Nicely composed photograph, with good detail and color. Perhaps a bit too centered in my opinion, but still a great shot. ((8)) |

Wish you didnt black out the top of the sky. Very nice shot otherwise. |

Excellent saturation in the sky. The clouds are a bit overexposed but overall I like the subtle shades of colours in the landscape. |

I personally would have taken the shot horizontally instead. I find there is to much wasted space and far to much sky. A tighter crop and a wider picture would have made for a better shot in my opinion. I also find that this photo lack subject. Perhaps if it wasn't so dark and we could see the road better. Good luck and keep up the good work in 2005. |

For me... the dark sky on the top left just isn't real. I kinda like the effect, but it keeps bugging me at the same time. And I keep thinking that the road in front ought to be brighter because of how bright the rest of the scene is. It's probably in shadow, but it just "feels" out of place. Anyway, those are my thoughts. Good luck on the challenge! |

Not enough going on for me - needs a foreground object. Nice sky though |

Great scene. The clouds are fantastic and I really like the graduated sky and the way that road really does lead you somewhere. 9 |

I don't care for the crop here. If you crop off the top 2/3 (just above the lower cloud formations) if is a very nice image. The sky does not add anything to the photo, IMHO. |

Way to go!
Good colours, especially the deep, deep blue sky. |

stunning sky and hill - but IMHO the foreground lets it down - look a bit flat 7 /10 |

Interesting shot, the polarizer(?) seems to have darkened the sky a little too much (IMO) |
