Collection: Challenge Entries
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di for Canon

Aperture: F/2.8

Date Uploaded: Jan 9, 2005

Taken with the Tamron 28-75 and the built-in flash. Originally taken for my PaD project, I feel that it's got enough bokeh (well, just about) and a bit of interest, which seems to fit this challenge ok.

The original was cropped, focus tweaked, a touch of levels work, and double-bordered. Nice and simple :o)

Hey Manic

I'm not sure this was the best subject for 'Bokeh', as a lot of the interesting detail is in the bottom of the sink, as a result, there isn't much to hold the viewer's attention. I'd like to see a little more on the bottom of the frame, also, to trap the eye and keep it from following the lines off the botttom of the image.

Just my thoughts.

Goodness, I really differ from the average voter on this one, don't I? I think this image ROCKS!

i admire your effort here, but feel that the concept has fallen short in the execution. whether or not you met the challenge is not in question as much as whether or not you have delivered a competitive entry. my basic benchmark for this is whether or not the image would either look good on a wall or grab my attention if i found it in a magazine. for my taste, this would do neither.

This is good, especially as it's both foreground and background that have been used. 7.

On of my top 11 (yes 11) in this challenge. This captures wonderfully the interplay between moving water and light. I also really like the shapes in an abstract sense - I think the composition is very strong on that level. The lack of colour allows me to really concentrate on the light and forms here. Wonderful!

The border is very distracting.

Demonstrates the technique of bokah more than the beauty of an image that could be created with bokah in my opinion.
