I had never seen this...cool shot.
It would also have been cool if he was standing in front of the down escalator and there were a womans feet or something like he was waiting on someone. Like on the end of Cruel intentions. It would be the opposite of that. I dont know what I am talking about. Sorry :)

Hello from the critique club :)
Having not much experience with Bokeh, my initial reaction to this shot was, well where is the bokeh, but I tried to go through other entries and I can see what you were trying to do.
I like the mood of this photograph. Loooking at the picture, I think this can have a better impact if you had this done in a 'portrait' layout with more of the stair and less of the man to enhance the feel of 'going up'. The lighting is quiet harsh and the colors do not seem to get along very well IMO. You could possibly benefit if you had both the rails touching the bottom frame.
Overall a very different picture as compared to the rest of the submissions, but it lacks a mass appeal.

| This would probably be a great stock photograph! I dont know of your out of focus background is a good example of bokeh though. Nice shot. |
