Thanks to everyone for their time to comment on my photo. I am thankful that you could see the bokeh in my photo. At least what I thought it was. |

This is just lovely!
I came back to bump this up from an 8 to a 10, and I see you needed to validate this shot? I can't imagine why! |

A beauty. It seems to radiate light. I would have cropped a bit more off the right side, to de-center the flower. |

one of my favorites this challenge -- colors and composition are very strong... going in my site favorites as well! |

It's a wonderful shot of a flower, but I don't really think the softly blurring background is bokeh. My understanding of bokeh may be as fuzzy as the effect itself though. I like the picture and think it's well done. Not sure why it was challenged though. The composition might have been better off center. |

While some will likely comment on the centered composition, I feel that the backdrop of leaves balance the composition and the bokeh is quite beautiful. Great lighting. 9 |

Beautiful picture but no bokeh, just a shallow DOF, by my definition. |

great colors and lighting. Textbook Brokeh from my interpretation of it. The brokeh definately adds to the subject of the photo. Its a nice clean crisp and eye pleasing image. One of my top 3 picks. keep up the good work. |

I hope this is doing well for you. It is a beautiful photo but I know some people may not like that the background is not that out of focus. The color and shadow work well here. |

The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? For me this doesn't work as a bokeh shot. Pretty though. |
