 I cut out a star from a piece of paper and held it in front of the lens to get star-shaped "bokeh" from the Christmas tree lights instead of the normal "round blobs".

I think the technique is probably a lot cooler than the final image - impressive concept.

Interesting reiteration of the cookies' shape in the background. I can't tell if those stars are the result of a filter on the lens or what.

not exactly sure how this was achieved, but the background certainly compliments the fore
