Doesn't grab me, as it's a pretty common theme. To make something like this really pop there needs to be something about it that is unusual (or unusually beautiful) for this type of shot, whether it be in the light, what the creature is doing, etc. |

this is a nice entry. i hope this doesn't get overlooked in this monster challenge, and that viewers will give it the time necessary to appreciate it. good luck in this challenge, and in 2005, as well! |

For this picture, I believe that there is too much flower at the bottom. If you crop it out, this picture will stand out. |

The focus is on the flower and not the butterfly, where imo it should be. |

The DOF is so narrow in this picture that the insect is out of focus...the picture would have been alot better if it had been in focus. Nice pic though. |

Interesting subject here. Doesn't seem as crisp as some of the other insect macros, but not a bad effort. |
