This is the first ironbridge built in the world. It was very important during the industrial revolution. It seems to be in stark contrast with the tranquility of the River Seven, hence the title.

I was a long way from it and used a zoom lens at 217mm setting. The shutter speed was 1/180secs and I was concerned about camera shake.

I hate the cars at the left of the shot, but I was unable to keep them out as it was a busy time of the day.

Thanks for the encouragement Pat and Sonja. Maybe I will manage to come last for the next submission :) Good luck with yours.

Anthony.

I'm so proud of you too, Anthony! As Sonja has said, just keep on submitting! I love that bridge and that village and that whole area. I just wish that I could be over on that side of the big pond to take more photos of that area.

too many distractions

For your next photo submission, try keeping the file size larger if you can (higher JPEG quality) - the clarity that is a little lacking in this photograph would be corrected by that adjustment IMO.

This could be a very nice photo, but the right side is underexposed.

Good atmosphere, nice and soft for a hard subject.

Very well taken! I like your choice of bridge and the colour combinations you have used. The spot of red in the car adds effect. The buildings in the left, set the scene well. Composition is great! I dont think you could have done much better with this shot! Great work!

Thats a really neat looking place. Everything looks really good except you resized it just a little too small for my taste.

nice picture, but i think you should have taken the photo closer to the bridge. (i'm sure that would have been hard to do because that would be in the water) but it's still good

Nice photo. Colours are nice. Blue bridge, nicely painted, unusual color for a bridge.

The big tree in the front takes away from the bridge in the image.

I like this shot, and the bridge. I somehow wish it were unpolluted by the cars and people.

Lighting seems dark on the right side of the frame-- neat bridge, though!

I really liked this photo.Would have been slightly better without the distraction of the cars though. Overall...good job :)

That's an interesting bridge. A little understated with this particular view because of the tree in the left foreground.

Too bad that tree is growing right in the middle of your picture.
