I have been watching my creek fill up to flood levels after a crazy mid winter thaw and decided to do some macro work...lol. I have not really been interested in photographing the whole creek just the tiny bubbles and current that I see flowing over the trees and branches.

On the day I shot this, the creek had crested and was moving pretty fast. I had to stand in about 8 inches of ice-cold water to get this shot. (I was off to the side of the creek and I had on a pair of boots with 3 pair of socks…lol).

Equipment used: tripod and the Nikon 70-300mm lens set to auto focus. I did not use flash; I wanted to show the natural flow of the water.

Photo adjustments: resize & auto levels that is all.

Hopefully you enjoy this image as much as I have enjoyed photographing my flooding creek. (maybe not by the score...lol)

Actually, I really like this. I think it could use a little more color--they seem to be there but are very subdued; maybe a little saturation boost would help, unless you are worried about it being unnatural. I think it's great as an abstract!

Like the movement. Would have felt more like water if it had increased blue/cyan tones maybe? Needs a point of interest.
