Challenge: Best of 2004 (Advanced Editing III*)
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Location: Salem Gardens
Date: Nov 13, 2004
Date Uploaded: Jan 15, 2005

Taken in the Salem Gardens, cold November day. Wanted to make it seem much colder yet intimate and "fleeting". Tanked saturation almost entirely but leaving a hint of the colder colors of the photo. Cropping, contrast, levels, selective desharp, etc. First entry of mine here.

Love the muted colors. Lots of feeling in this shot.

The pink left on the colar of the mother's shirt in this picture is a little distracting.

Nice moment, thoughto me the soft focus and the chopped off hand detract.

Well it might have been fleeting but you have captured this moment very well. The focus seems a little off, but that might even heighten the feeling of tenderness this image conveys.

I really like the way you`ve captured this with the child looking at the camera but the adult looking down..it helps to add a candid feel to the image.
I would have preferred a tighter crop (losing the hand) and a touch more sharpness to make this a top pick for me..but I`m bumping it up as it still has a lot to offer.

I can read the expression on her face. You captured a perfect moment, but may be lost to fast voters.9

This is a nice natural capture, but to me the focus seems a little 'soft'
