Not focused very well

Great idea but would have been better with more depth of field

I don't like this ultra shallow DOF for this photo. It could've been greater with a slower shutter speed and done differently IMO. There is too much blurry in this photo. I'm a Gibson man anyway.... :)

The out of focus portion bothers me for some reason.

a bit blurry but good contrast

I really like this but i think the foreground being out of focus is distracting. My attention is drawn toward the unfocused part rather than the focused. 7, Kevin

I can't say I like how most of the image is out of focus.

I really like this shot, but I'm not sure why you chose to focus in the furthest string, rather than the middle one. I like the border, I love the lighting - it's really a good shot.

Man, you've got me confused here. Is this a Fender Guitar?? Are these the Strings?? Is this the body of the Guitar?? Is this the Bridge of the Fender Guitar??? Nice Black and White Shot anyhow, nice and shiny, reflective, like the way you've got selective focus. (please email me and put me out of my misery)

Too much of a macro, with the DOF too narrow. Nice B&W - love the look of the string.

It's good to see an original idea. Well done for that. I'm not sure about having the far string in focus and the foreground out of focus. It might have looked better if it was the other way around.

nice idea, i may have tried to get a little more of the subject focused, but it looks good

Bit of an 'obvious' alternative interpretation, I suspect quite a few folks rejected guitars/violins as being a bit too 'smartass'. Photographically, I think the focus should have been on the middle string.

Intricate shot. Nice lighting. I wish more were in focus, or at least perhaps the center machinery.

I really wish this was all in focus, but it's a nice idea. Even having the middle string in focus would have made me happy. It's just the foreground draws my attention and leaves me unsatisfied, not being able to make out any detail.
