 Hand held, focal length 17mm. (wish I had a full frame camera and a 24mm tilt-shift lens, but oh well)

This is Hallgrimskirkja, the biggest church in Reykjavik and for that matter in Iceland. It´s about 70m tall and one of the big landmarks in Reykjavik. Anyway, this was taken about 30 minutes before sunset and I intentionally used about a WB of about 4000K to get it this blue, I at least like it that way and hope you do too. The sky is made an enhanced blue with a polarizer.

No post processing whatsoever except in enhanced contrast in capture one, white balance set to somewhere around 4000K and in photoshop I used levels on the church to brighten it up a bit. Oh and shooting architecture is not really my thing, if anyone has some pointers that he or she thinks can help me get better, I am all ears.

Just too much of the blue wash I feel. It almost makes it but I thought it was a bit too overpowering.

Its and excellent viewpoint with a great leadin to the towering main subject which you have placed at just the right position.

Just a lighter application of the blue with some grain I think wouls have improved it. But an excellently framed and well thought out shot.

Very cool. The darkness and blueness go well with the subject and create an ominous feel to the whole scene.

Another view of another Icelandic building but I like this very much. Probably one of the most terrifying buildings I have ever seen. I think the blue tint is a little too dark in the foreground but otherwise this is a great shot.

Cool colours. In both senses of the word. Since I know the church I immediately understand the allusion, but for others I think it might be problematic. Tower slanted a bit to the R, would be better if straight. (see windows)
