In the front we have the main Post Office building, built in the early 20th Century in the heart of San José; displaying a mixture of classical and neo classical elements.
In the back you can see our most important bank called Banco Nacional de Costa Rica. Built in the late 70's is the tallest building in San José and one of the first important examples of the many contemporary architecture trends that are flourishing in Costa Rica.

Interesting to see the window air conditioner in such an elegant building.

Nice contrast, this would work for the "old and new" challenge:)

Especially effective because to me the architectural styles of the two buildings are related. The newer stands on the shoulders of the older, both literally and figuratively. The uncorrected perspective looks right as well here (at least I think it's not been corrected). 7.

It's too bad the modern (ugly) light post and the air conditionner on the right were there. Also too bad that you couln't include the whole right part of the building itself (but I understand it can be quite hard unless you have a wide angle). I dolike the angle at wich it was shot.

Too bad there's an air conditioner hangin out the window... But that's not the fault of your photographic skills, so it won't hurt your score :)

Very nice. You got the elements to have the past and contemporary elements in a beautiful composition and representation. My ten is for you.
