This is a tough challenge considering the amount of photographs taken in any one year ! Too many to choose from. I had a few favourites for different reasons. When I think of this particular butterfly I captured a rare moment. As you can see it's tongue is out which you would have to capture at the precise moment, I probably wouldn't get that again if I tried ! Butterflies do not keep still(well this one didn't) and lastly, being at home, we'd be lucky to see butterflies like this for only 2 days a year on one particular plant! Right place at the right time. Hope you like it too and please leave comments !!

Pretty image, feels like the focus is just fractioally off around the insects head which is a shame.

For this one, I think that the butterfly compete with flower thus there is no primary subject for this one. I perfer to see the whole butterfly and crop some flower.

Focus seems soft and colours a little flat. Nice DOF and bokeh ;o)
Cropping seems a little tight and would have liked to seen the entire wings of the butterfly.
