Challenge: Best of 2004 (Advanced Editing III*)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: London

Aperture: f/9
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/200

This is a shot I took over Christmas vacation while I was in london.

I chose this shot because I knew:
1. I take my best pictures when I'm in new places therefore this is better than many shots i get within my own house or neighborhood that i have taken pictures of a million times already.
2. I like the angle of this shot, it makes it different than your regular straight up shot.

Post Processing:
Using PS Elements 2.0
I cropped this to make it tighter around the tower. I raised saturation as well as brightness.
Thats it.

Nice as a "record" shot (a record of your vacation, Big Ben's existence, etc) but nothing here really wows me.

Have you tried this in B&W and with burnt in clouds? with some experimentation, this could be made into a very different shot... (VP)

Like the colouring here - don't know whether thats beacause you bumped the saturation but whatever the case it works. The composition is perhaps a little too straightforward, but I quite like this nonetheless.

You've done well with the glimmering gold, but there are two things about this photo I think are wrong. 1) It could do with being rotated to make the verticals vertical. 2) The stonework looks too orangey - maybe you could selectively tweak the saturation so the gold stays as it is, but the stonework looks less saturated.
