 The City of London on a saturday again. Quickly, because I have to go to Bristol: roatated a touch, levels a couple of passes, added a touch of light noise, re-sized, sharpened at radius.5 strength 60 two passes again.

The brown is from air pollution from cars. The white is the natural colour of the stone.

I was shocked to see this so low, but then, I guess I shouldn't be. It is DPC. This is a remarkable image. I gave it a 10, wish I could have used a 20!

Emotional. This image does what I believe is the heart of photography, it conveys feeling. When you look at it and the technique is an afterthought. Most photos I go down the checklist....subject, focus, comp., color, lighting, contrast...etc.; but with this one I like it and feel it FIRST, then as I study it I discover why: the message, the gritty texture, subtle color variation(low saturation)..all of those compliment each other (and work together) to make this image not just a photo...but Art. Nice job, 10.
