Something about this picture is bothering me but I can't put my hands on it. It almost looks as if he is sitting in front of a large picture [backdrop/wallpaper or something]. Nice lighting and color of foreground subject and nice POV. Great job! |

Monet County? Reference to Monet?
The bench seems to be tilting to the left (this wouldn't bother me as much, but it is the only solid horizontal line in this shot). Excellent lighting and composition. Maybe a little higher angle could have got his hair below the hill ridge line, or a little lower angle would have pushed the hair alll the way through, right now seems like the two lines are conflicting sortof. 8 |

the person self could be a little sharper 7
Reurning to look at it again. The person could surely be sharper, however, looking at this picture as a whole it portrais a feeling of reflection, a needed moment of being alone and that makes this pic very good. The colors are beautiful, the composition actually great... Lot more appeal than the original score, bumping up to 9. |

This is very nice. Unlike the many entries where the face just happens to be turned away, this one has a reason, which to me makes all the difference. Especially like the depth of field used because it makes the photo even more "on challenge". Great title, but the image works even without it; no small achievement for this awkward challenge subject. 8
P.S. Second look ... This photo is very instructive; you don't need a breathtaking or bizarre subject to produce a high-quality challenge entry, just a clever idea elegantly executed. My own entry was a contrived load of rubbish. Lesson learned! |

Very nice background. Great detail on the bench. The only thing that bothers me about this one is the color of the coat. It looks to me like it is supposed to be a beige trench coat sort of jacket, but it looks pink. I suspect the colors were modified to get the best background result, but I think the coat took a hit in the process. That said, I still gave it a 10. |

Looking at the individual aspects of this photo, the green countryside, a man on a bench, a hazy sky this photo should be ordinary, but yet, I find it mysterious and compelling when combined into this one image. |

Oh, man! Is this Giverny? I am soooo jealous! Great photo, too. One of the best in the challenge. |

I love this photograph for 3 reasons: The subject in the front is well lit, with the key light mainly on his right arm, the hill in the background has depth going upwards, and the sky kind of matches his jacket. Beautiful Job! |
