Thanks for the comments, I learned a lot on this one.
I'm not sure how clear I was on my initial comments. Salt Lake City is in a valley that gets "capped" during the winter, and smog builds up until the next storm comes through. This was shot on the second day of this build up. I went back the next morning to shoot in different light, and I couldn't see the building in the background at all.
I've also learned that DPC doesn't like close crops. The entire tower in the front is shown, I just liked it using all of the vertical space, so it's cropped tight.
Thanks again for the comments, |

Looks a little overexposed. |

Cool. Very strong old/new, smooth/rough, bright/dark, round/edgy contrast. I don't like the composition though. You cut off the tower's top and I don't like it's position in the image. It is too cenetred for me. Cropping off some of the right side might be good. 7. |

the title and odd contrast is a bonus |

Difficult to discern clearly what is in the background. I think a different perspective would have enhanced this photo - maybe the tower against a panel of the new building. Idea has potential. That the top of the tower is cropped and the top of the building is not - is a bit bothersome for me. |

Wish the top of the tower thingy wasn't chopped off like that. |
