Thanks for the comments, I learned a lot on this one.

I'm not sure how clear I was on my initial comments. Salt Lake City is in a valley that gets "capped" during the winter, and smog builds up until the next storm comes through. This was shot on the second day of this build up. I went back the next morning to shoot in different light, and I couldn't see the building in the background at all.

I've also learned that DPC doesn't like close crops. The entire tower in the front is shown, I just liked it using all of the vertical space, so it's cropped tight.

Cool. Very strong old/new, smooth/rough, bright/dark, round/edgy contrast. I don't like the composition though. You cut off the tower's top and I don't like it's position in the image. It is too cenetred for me. Cropping off some of the right side might be good. 7.

Difficult to discern clearly what is in the background. I think a different perspective would have enhanced this photo - maybe the tower against a panel of the new building. Idea has potential. That the top of the tower is cropped and the top of the building is not - is a bit bothersome for me.

Wish the top of the tower thingy wasn't chopped off like that.
