Shot during a northern light hunt on the 21st. After more than 2hrs of next to no NL activity we stopped for a hot chokolate break, and right on order started the NLs. Even with the rare red.
Ok, northern lights (and hunt for those) is maybe not everyday normal activity for most ppl, but it is for me. So! :)
The thing that really nails this photo is the guy in front looking at the display on his P&S, that was what made up my mind in posting this, since I already had a completely different shot ready. Also (not well visible in this websize) is the guy on the R pointing up, hand only half visible.
post prod: in PS curves, USM.

Straightening the horizon would really help in this picture.

Cool Aurora, I wish I lived someplace where this occured all the time! The people are a bit distracting, but I guess they need to be in the image for this challenge :)

Wow. Very striking. I think this would look better without that structure thing in the bottom left corner, though. I would have cropped the left side to remove it from the photo. Still a really nice shot, though. The bush in the foreground is a nice touch.

I love the idea but I don't like the crop or framing. The wall on the left is really distracting and the tree doesn't add any value, either.

The light seems to fall from the sky like rain. Works wonderful with the people in front.
