 I really wanted to name this picture "Solemates" but refrained from the obvious pun.

Shot this in my bathtub, (after a vigorous scrubbing) which made close quarters for setting up lighting.

It isn't exactly how I imagined it in my head, but it will do for my first post here after only one week with a DSLR.

As a photograph this has good balance an compositio.
however it is not obvious how this is meeting this particular challenge
If I guess one shoe is old and the other is new, but unfortunatly this does not show here...

I like the high-key effect. As far as meeting the challenge, I'm not sure if there is enough difference between the old and new... they look about the same to me - maybe a different angle would show the age of the left shoe more?

Birkenstocks, my favorite! Great shot. I wish the shoes had a bit more distinction from piece to piece, but like I said, it really is a great shot.

Is one older than the other? Love the white but theres not a huge contrast in age like I would expect in this challenge. Very nice picture though.
