I wasn't sure how to go about this challenge at first since there aren't any famous bridges in my city at all. Any bridge I did find was low key. Although, I did find this interesting train bridge on a trip out.

I went with a more interesting perspective on this one and included the plant for interest. I did slightly crop the sides and there are minor level adjustments.

Greetings from the C.C.!
First, I really like what you are trying with this photo, I like your willingness to try something different. I do have to agree with those that say the plant is distracting, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The photo contains a bridge, but does not necessarily have to be only about a bridge. The plant does make the photo more colorfull and interesting.
Good color and lighting in the photo. I might have been better if the bridge were just a little lower in the shot. Some said the bridge was out of focus, I don't see that, the bridge is just farther away than the plant, so it seems out of focus. Overall, nice photo. You probably didn't have the nice bridges to work with like some do (The ones who medaled this competition.). So, you had to improvise with what you had. Keep up the good work!

it seems you're more intent on being focused on the weed than on the bridge, but you captured a nice photo.

What an odd (in a good way) shot this is: it looks almost like a sudio shot, probably because of the evenness of the light. Love that weed, too.

The weed is much to distracting IOM. The bridge has wonderful character.

I like the 'rose amongst the thorns' theme you have here. Was the sky colorised or is that a natural gradient?

It seems that the plant in the foreground is in focus rather than the bridge - perhaps I don't understand the title. For the challenge though I think the bridge should have been in focus. Other than that it's a good shot.

The weed is distracting. I don't care for the cropping - the bridge is too high up. You should have ignored this weed here. The water looks like acid mine drainage which looks really cool. I can't help feel that you missed a real opportunity for a great photo.

Nice shot. I love the green plant (weed?) in the foreground. Adds a nice touch IMO. Good luck with the challenge!

Would have used the green weed in foreground to frame on the left. Nice colors.

nice job 8

Nice forground interest, but it cuts iover the bridge. Maybe replacing it with a bit of driftwood would have been better. Youve avoided an overly bright sky, and the water has a rich colour to it.
