This image was taken at Batu Caves, Malaysia during the Thaipusam celebrations. Here the devotees are deep into prayer before the go into a trance and have their body pierced with various object.

This tell a story and I like that. I also like the fact that it is not straight. That works for this shot.

This is an interesting photo. Since it is a photo, the woman in the background causes me to look at it again and again. (If this was real-time, I would feel a need to look away.)

The woman in the middle staring at the camera adds so much--she seems like she would pull your attention away from the main subjects, but she doesn't (at least for me), yet her presence adds something interesting. I also like the angle in this picture.

Good composition. I like the tilt. Good DOF. The grain is interesting and adds to the image's character. 10.

This is such a beautiful picture! It's a little grainy in the background, but in some ways I think that contributes, especially since you chose b&w. 9

What exactly is the "old/new" comparison?? GREAT shot...but I don't understand it for this challenge.
