 The colours you see are pretty much accurate. The orchids were factory dyed with blue shades. I have only adjusted the saturation slightly to make it more vivid and sharpened it.

The glow comes from a tiny flashlight placed behind the petals. I also had a small flashlight with purple celophane over it to boost the red portions at the right.
