 Gull feather on mylar. Macro. Cloned 3 tiny spots out, little lightening of feather, usm. (Sounds easy, but I spent the better part of two days and 100 shots on this idea. And every bit of it was fun.)

Background is too busy. I'd preferred to see the feather in more contrast to the background, though. 6

I am very impressed with the creative thinking behind this photo. The colors are wonderful. I've looked at it for a long time and just think the feather needed more light on it (no pun intended). Since this was advanced editing, using the dodge tool would have really given this photo the pop it needed. That being said, I've never ribboned - so don't take my comment too seriously! ;-) It's just an opinion that I hope will prove helpful.
