It was a sad day at DPC for me when my photo was challenged and disqualified. I only used the above methods to enhance the light shining on the boxer's face. Remember, guys and gals, this IS digital photography and more creativity should be allowed. |

The beads of sweat caught in the beam of light are superb. Well done! |

The referee looks a little bored out the back with his hands in his pocket :))) Good capture! |

This would be especially good to me if the ref were cloned out. Still great shot. |

This is a great fight shot, even without the beam of light. Now do tell - you have surely added that in, haven't you? The trouble is, no-one even in their wildest moments in the lighting indistry would use a light of such narrow beam to light boxing - and from what i can see here it looks like a PAR lamp anyway, which simply cannot produce a beam that narrow (it must be six inches across where it 'hits' the boxers face). Also, thing that should be behind it have become brighter in that line, which should not happen (the red roof beam). If you wanted to be more accurate, then the beam should spread considerably as it approaches the ring, cerrtainly seen from this angle. Aside from which, as i said, it was a good enough shot anyway - especially with the sweat flying like that, the sense of controlled power from the fighter on the left, the wonderful look of the referee (and his hands in his pockets). |

Love the look on the ref's face and the way that shaft of light hits the guy's face (as well as the other guy). |

Great action and the positioning, stance and the look on the ref's face is just brilliant!! I like the way the spot light falls on the 'red' guy and how you can see the sweat thrown off his face. This is a great great shot. |
