 The dead end sign at the end of my street, after dark and in the rain, under the yellow-ish street light. Believe it or not it is in color. just took up the brightness and adjusted levels. and, of course, resized it.

I just wanted to say that this post just tickled me..we live on an army base, and this sign is just on the gate, and beyond is the "bad" part of town off-base. so basically, beyond is death, hehe! also, those arent powerlines in the background, its actually razorwire that tops the fence the sign is on. Thanks for all the great comments!

There must have been something more exciting to do with this? The graininess could have been interesting, but the composition isn't.

conveys a sense of oppression, like beyond is death. Interesting, certainly. Why not use vertical composition, however?

like a tombstone, very moody. the graininess looks like a high ISO shot, but there is a lot of post going on as well I think. A little bit less would have been satisfying as well.
