 Colorado History:
During WWII the army in all their wisdom decided to raise mules for various uses. They rented a plot of land on the side of a hill from a Colorado farmer and proceeded to breed lots of baby mules.

Over the course of time they realized that mules, being what they are, were stubborn little guys and didn't cooperate in they way they wanted them to. (I guess they never heard the expression -- stubborn as a mule!) So they abandoned their project and the mules on their hill side. The area became know as Jackass Hill. It is unknown if this refers to the mules or the Army!

The street is down to one lone street sign since it is a favorite for the high school kids to steal.

My younger children love this street because they can say the word

Looks like a small crop from a large image. Very visible noise in the blue areas and strong evidence of sharpening. Otherwise a fun choice of subject. 6

I almost think I recignize this sign (near Cambria?) . In any event, it's a good find and nicely displayed.
