 Rolled up a piece of paper into a cone after drawing a whole bunch of converging pink lines on it. Set up two 18" black lights, one at the end of the tube, the other held about a foot above it so there's somewhat even light on the rest of the tube. The lines were drawn straight, but the paper was curving, which produces the sort of "wormhole" effect.

Postprocessing: added a Selective Color and Levels adjustment layer, tweaking things a bit for higher contrast and more saturation in the reds; cloned out (imperfectly) a seam in the paper that was distracting. Ran it through NeatImage, and bam.

This might be one of a bunch of images just like it... and it's probably too dark for some peoples' tastes... but I like it anyway! Whee!

i love this shot that you did. i actually have it as my wallpaper. hope you don't mind. anyways i really wished that it had placed higher.
