I thought about entering this for the pain challenge (it really hurts), but I'm thinking of something else for it now.

Nikon D70 w/ 50mm f1.8 lens @ f16 with 12mm & 20mm Kenko extension tubes. Light source was a SB-600 flash bounced into a small photoflex umbrella.

Blech, a very sharp shot! I happen to like the reflection of the umbrella and camera silhouette for this shot, it gives me something other than the pink-eye to look at, hehe. ;-)

It's entertaining how some philistines will vote-down a decent shot just because it strikes an emotion in them that they find unpleasant. Their loss.

the only thing thatlesses the shot is the camera reflection. The iris is extremely interesting.

To get a decent score, I think you really have to do more than take a technically correct shot of something that is indeed pink so it meets the challenge. No appeal.

Yeap. You got a case of the pink eye. Ouch! Hope someone gets to feeling better soon!

Great way to use an unfortunate event to your advantage. I would have liked the eye to be shifted to the right just a tad to get the corner to corner effect. 8

Well it is a great photo of a bad eye. And of course we can see you used a tripod. And it looks like it is your eye, hope you are feeling better. I give it an 7 for being a sharp clean photo that meets the challenge.

This made me laugh and it would be a good picture to advertise eye drops! Is that the reflection of the camera in the pupil?
