I think this has a lot of obstacles. The eye is first drawn to the bright spot at the lower middle of the image, but there's nothing to draw the eye away from it: the detailed are to the right lacks sufficient contrast or (focussed) detail to be of interest, and the line the cotton candy makes isn't sharp enough to make the eye follow it.

I think your shutter speeed was about a stop too slow to freeze the motion, which is why the image appears out of focus.

I fear there's nothing here to hold a viewer's attention.

I agree it is pink, but that is all, poorly focussed, badly composed. can't even tell what it is.
I would say this is a candidate for the brown ribbon... sorry, just being honest.

Nice concept, but the pink is out of focus. Get that focus on and this would do well I think.

The idea is nice and so is the light. But the photo is totaly out of focus.
Perhaps some details in that object would help it more.

Subject is certainly pink but is badly OOF. A clean black BG can work nicely with colours such as pink if the other elements are strong, ie. interesting composition and subject and good use of DOF and focus.

I think that to have something in this picture in focus would have added some focus to this image. There's essentially nothing to to draw my eye to and keep it engaged.

I am not sure what I am lookiing at here. Looks like maybe cotten candy but it is not in focus enough to really tell.

A little too out of focus to really see what it is, a dustball or cotton candy or a cotton ball?
