My grandmother passed away this week and this is the pain I am feeling. Although many people may not care for this entry... It means something to me.

I don't see it as looking particularly "painful". She looks more sleepy to me.

Pretty good composition and good use of black and white. I am a NeatImage fan but we have to take care wiith these noise reducing software. The hair of your model looks weird. I think a little of grain would have enhanced the photo.

Technically nice, but she could just as easily be sleeping as crying. If it seemed more like a candid shot, it would work better for me.

Nice lighting! I'm wondering if this would be more effective by zooming out a little more and having the subject more toward the right (giving more of a lonely feel to it).

hard to see really any "painful emotion." for all we know, she could be sleeping. good choice of having it in black and white though. :)
