The guitarist from the band Mary Jane... I'm working with the band closely at the moment, and now is an exciting time for them as they're flying out to Prague tomorrow to record a new album. This shot is pretty much straight out of the camera, with small levels tweaks and sharpening. I wonder if people will say this shot is more purple than pink... we'll see!

The "Hard Rock" subject doen't go with the "Soft", pink, high-key style.

Returning for comment:
I like the purple-pink color, but I wish the background was dark instead of the white. Also, due to the movement, her hand looks a bit weird.
Still, a nice image, dynamic and interesting.

A lovely semi graphical effect with the pink very well stated. 6 on my first pass.

I like the high contrast.

Does the pink add anything to this image other than making it suit the challenge topic?

I'd crop a bit on the bottom to eliminate the dark stuff, and probably clone out the top right corner stuff too. Both pull the eye away from the subject. I like the shadow of the drums though.
