I created a kaleidoscope that fit over my lens for this image. After searching for the right elements to create it, I settled on the economical solution of stick-on vanity mirrors for cars from the dollar store.

I have learned that I might find better (thinner) mirrors which would help reduce the double edging on the reflections. Also would like to have longer mirrors so that I capture more reflections. I'll definitely be giving this type of image another shot.

BTW, the "wicker" some commenters perceived is actually shiny silver material with round, sequin-like texture. I was originally hoping to create a shimmering background with good bokeh--I'm still looking for the right material to make that vision work.

This is a fun idea and kind of makes the image cubist, kind of. I did one like this recently of my daughter's face. If you are really interested in making this perfect, you can get special glass/mirror out of which they make kaleidescopes. It's much thinner so you don't lose focus or clarity in the various reflections. Nice work. 8

Blech, this looks like the Christmas cards my Gran sent out in the 70's. Not my tastes AT ALL but nice idea, focus and colour.

hmm... unsure about this effect. all the brown wicker stuff takes away from the point of the challenge... pink.

Wow! This is so beautiful. . .and it's really hard to impress me with a flower shot. But this really does!

Interesting innovation from the pink flower shot! Shame about the double edges though. 7

Interesting, but not sure if it works well with the lace/wicker
