 An Apartment Complex in Columbus that has each building painted a different bold color. Some are green w/ yellow roofs and some are pink w/blue roofs, like this one.
I didn't want to go with a flower photograph because I believed there would be a few of them. So I decided to go with something different.

1. Cropped
2. Filled sky using the eraser tool with canvas a blue tone.
3. Duplicate layer
4. Auto level
5. Auto Contrast
6. Auto Color
7. Desaturated layer
8. Invert layer
9. Blend layer option overlay
10. Run through neat image
11. Border 15 pixel black
12. Change Image size and save as web

Another well chosen scene. Good tonality and colour but slightly flat looking light. I think early morning or late evening light would have helped make the scene pop even more.

This shot is all about colour and you've done a good job of capturing the pink and contrasting it against the blue. In view of that I think your challenge score was unnecessarily low. Once again, though, I'm seeing a lack of detail, especially in the darker areas. For example I can barely see the edges on the pink boards in the lower right portion of the image.

It's becoming increasingly clear that either your camera or something about your technique is losing this detail since is seems to be a consistant thing from shot to shot.

Why does this need validation?

It's a fairly normal appearing shot of a house, with quite a bit of loss of detail underneath the balcony probably due to noise reduction. Overall, a nice shot and a good entry for this challenge.
