A garden shed seemed as good a frame as any for an outside portrait. It was a bit of a drab day so work needed to be done to give the image some life. Skipping backwards and forwards setting the self timer and then composing oneself isn't easy I find.

This is a very relaxed and casual approach. A frame within a frame always has merit specially when the inner is not a mere mimick. The texture of the jacket and the wood shed are appealing because of the color harmony which helps the skin tones. The overall focus is good and the body position along with facial expression and hands impart that rustic feel. Of course, while the face is clear we all want closer, but that would be a trade off for the peaceful state that is currently portrayed. Bumping up.

Yeah, but then you start dreaming of upgrading to a garage.

Returning for comment. Good use of framing to add drama to composition. This shot is in sharp focus - good job! The facial expression seems a bit off, especially using the title as a point of reference. To me, you look more worried than satisfied. Overall, a decent shot. Good luck in the challenge!

You look happy to be in the shed :)
Nice use of framing, and the expression on your face is quite pleasing.

Perhaps composed from the other side you could have avoided having distracting elements near the head (those blue pouches on the interior wall). But AMEN to every man needing a shed.
