Breeanna, bless her soul, helped me out with this one. Just a simple shot in the street, with flash, and a couple of props. I wanted fake blood, but I thought.. maybe that would be going a bit far. We'll have to see how people react. I don't even know if *this* will be too much for most voters or not.. let alone blood.

What more can I say? I can't imagine a more emotionally painful scenario for a parent.. or just for people that care about other people. Something like this has to tug on your heart-strings.. no? Unless you're completely desensitized by today's society.. and that could be too.

but other then that everything is pretty good!

Hehehe.. great comments everyone. Enjoyed every last one of them.

1. Yes, we're bad actors... but hell, I tried.

2. Next time I have a good idea, I'm not going to hum and haw about it until the night of turnover, and then rush outside and snap off a quick picture. lol. But boy, did Breeanna and I have fun doing it.

3. No child was harmed in the making of this photo, but a couple of knees were. Ouch.

4. 20 comments on a mid-range shot. Not too shabby.

Anyway, thanks again everyone.. until next time.

I like it a lot, but i think it is almost a little overdone.

Looks more like he's laughing or singing than screaming/crying.

This picture looks too staged. Otherwise it's good, an interesting idea. 7.

The emotion in the "father's" face clearly isn't real. This cries out "staged," which is not good.

Too dark. Doesn't strike me as real. His expression almost looks like a smile.

I know the feeling! When you wake your kid up at the crack of dawn to go out and learn to ride the bike and they just can't stay awake. Very frustrating! ;-)

What a dramatic image... I can certainly relate to this sort of pain.

although this is a very sad and painful situation, I'm just not feeling it from the models... Perhaps it's just me. The composition, lighting and clarity is great! I love the b/w. But it's his expression and I think I almost see a smile on the young girls face...

very posed, but for people who have actually lost someone in a traffic accident it is a rather painful scene
