The racial gap is continuously being bridged here in South Africa. The red in the back represents the pain in the past; the hands, the hope for the future.

To be honest, this isn't a great shot in my opinion. This is for a few reasons: fussy background, slightly soft, strange lighting and major cliche. Of course, the last point is a matter of taste, but still doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. Sorry!

A good idea, but I feel that the rather busy background lets it down.

Again - Less is More. I would have cropped out all of the gray matter from the bottom of picture (about 25%).

I like the subject and idea, but the execution isn't doing much for me. Maybe having the kids hold hands or showing some other way of "togetherness" would have more impact.

Unexpected but very interesting concept on the bridges and I see it very clearly, I'm sure it's not just in South Africa but is considered everywhere. Nice tight crop with effective depth of field, excellent work.

I like this idea. The background could have been slightly more out of focus.

This picture makes a statement. Good composition to show how we should do better in this world.

there are times when contriving an image to fit a brief just doesn't work, this looks like one of those times.
Nicely exposedhands and love the background, just can't connect them.

nice idea, but the resulting graphic is muddled in composition. Technical values are fine, but since you had controll over the composition, you might have done more with this idea.

Also had a similar idea but i think this one could have been better if a little more thought was taken! good attempt!

This has the opportunity to be a very moving shot, but the light seems to be a bit too harsh to set the mood. The narrow crop is also distracting. The focus, however, is great, and the idea fits the challenge.
