This is a top 5 image. Very highly under rated. |

My first reaction was Sam Elliot meets Willie Nelson meets Kris Kristofferson. Whether you are or not, you'd make a way cool cowboy! :o) |

Returning for comment. Love the lighing, and the wincing glaring look. The background is a bit distracting here and maybe not the right setting for the foreground "mood". But it's an excellent portrait, so on second review, bumping up. Now one of my top picks (though there are a lot of them up there now) |

Really like the soft and inviting light you used here Ruedi. The texture of the fabric looks smooth and soft, as you would like to touch it.. Also have the mood of the movie you're refferring to. Awesome! :) |

i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image as a guinnea pig as to what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.
my first reaction is that the lighting is a bit off, but the more i look at it, the more the image settles in. i like the cropping and composition. this definitely has more of a real-life feel than a studio shot. i does seem that it could benefit from a bit more lighting on the dark side of the face: there just seems to be a bit more character in there that is lost in the shadows. good luck! |

I really wanted this to be truly good, bad and ugly, but the lack of definition in the model's right eye and the distracting moderness of the background diminished my expectations. The model's face exhibits a character I would like to see under less harsh lighting. Please, let us see more in the future. |

Nice but i would like to se more of the dark side of the face or at least more of your eye. Great lighting though. |

Clint Eastwood better watch out! Good job...you have the old western tough guy look; love the lighting and shadow effects. |

I love the concept. I think the lighting is a touch harsh, but it seems to fit the theme. 8 |

Returning for comments: Quite a moving image of a 3/4 pose. The detail is just right for the mood but it is the color that carries the strength. Very impressive. |
